Spiritual journey in Cappadocia

Travel to one of the spirituality capital of Turkey – Hacıbektaş to learn about Sufism, Alevism and Bektashi Order which are local Islamic traditions. Pay visits to their lodges, learn about their traditions and be a part of this spiritual journey.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cappadocia between 9.00 am – 9.30 am and drive to the town of Hacibektas. It will take around 1 hour to get to Hacıbektaş. You will pay a visit to Hacı Bektaş Museum to learn about Bektashi Order as an Islamic tradition. You will enjoy watching a traditional dance of Bektashi order which is called ‘Sema’. Next, you will visit the Archeological Museum and learn about the history & culture of the region. After this visit, you will head to the House of Atatürk – Founder of Turkey. He used to stay in this house while he was spending time in the region in early 20th century. Enjoy a local lunch and then continue to Beştaş Cem Evi, which is the local lodge for Alevism, another Islamic tradition. Learn about Alevism and drive to Karaburna village to taste the locally produced wine. You will drive back to Cappadocia, off to your hotel after this amazing day.
